Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane are used for deep lines and wrinkles. Our face naturally loses collagen as we age and natural lines and wrinkles deepen due to sun exposure, air pollution, lifestyle, hereditary and even stress.  Dermal filers help to soften facial wrinkles, plump thin lips, restore volume and fullness in the face, improve the appearance of recessed scars, fill hollows, enhance sunken cheeks and smooth the contours of your face. Facial fillers are the non-surgical way to achieve younger looking skin and provide volume for tired lines and wrinkles.

How dermal fillers work

Facial fillers can, smooth wrinkles, plump up your skin and fill out deep lines by replacing the collagen lost due to natural ageing.

Dermal fillers Juvederm and Restylane are injected in small, controlled doses with an ultrafine needle just under the surface of skin of the area to be treated. This fills out deepened areas and lines to give a smoother, firmer and more refreshed appearance making you look more youthful. Depending on the type of dermal filler used, results can last from 9 to 24 months.

We only use top of the range products that can help you achieve your desired look. It will depend on the area you would like to be treated as to which product our facial practitioner would recommend as the most suitable for you to get the best results. This will be discussed with you during your consultation.

What’s involved in dermal filler treatment?

After cleansing the area to be treated, a numbing cream will be applied. This ensures the injections will only cause minimal discomfort. Dermal filler is then injected directly into the skin using an ultrafine needle.

They maybe a small amount of swelling after your treatment which will quickly subside. Depending on the area treated, it usually takes no longer than 30 minutes and you can leave the practice as soon as you have finished the treatment.

You can return to day to day activities straight away after Derma filler. You may experience some slight swelling or bruising to the area being treated and this generally doesn’t last longer than 48 hours. Your facial practitioner will discuss your recovery and what to expect when you attend you appointment.
